News Smokies 10 Mile Ladies Road Race - 4th March 2007

March 12th, 2007 @ 3:28 pm

Once again the Chryston / Strathclyde Park ladies headed for Arbroath to take part in this yearly event. With all the preparation done, they were ready for the 10 mile challenge, and the challenge was a success. Everyone’s times had been beaten from the previous year.

The 2007 “Arbroath Smokies” Ladies Team

The first two miles are flat, then comes the undulation, with some effort required, then a nice flat finish, with a fantastic goody bag at the end, followed by a hot shower, tea and cakes, and fantastic prizes.

Hats off to the Arbroath Footers who host this event.

Well done Ladies!! So sorry I couldn’t make this trip, but glad you all had a good time.

I did my first half marathon at the weekend from Balloch to Clydebank - it was pretty tough but I really enjoyed it, even though the legs ache a bit now!!

Hopefully catch up with you all soon - I see you are doing longer runs on a Saturday now… I may even be able to keep up with you!!

Well done again,

Kirsty xx
