Our annual Christmas Night Out has somehow ended up taking place in February again this year. So we all got suited and booted, pampered and preened and headed along to Cafe Asia for a night of fabulous food, fun and frolics. We even left the high viz gear and trainers at home.

We had a delicious Indian buffet with plenty of choices for everyone, even Suzanne who has only recently discovered the delights of Indian food.

After the grub Amanda had organized a very, very difficult quiz (ok I was in the losers team). This had us all baffled and deep in thought, if you can imagine that. Not surprisingly the winners were Margaret Lang, Jackie Gillespie and Mandy Friar (2 out of the 3 being school teachers).

We then had our annual raffle with lots of lovely prizes and the winner, Ann McCallum picked her charity as the British Heart Foundation so the proceeds of the raffle, £100 will go to this deserving charity.

After the quiz Winnie announced the Jog Scotland/Chryston Achiever of the Year as Margaret Wright. Margaret joined our group last March in the Beginners 1 group and progressed steadily through all the groups, running 5ks & 10ks almost weekly. She has a lovely, sunny nature and a great determination. Margaret has shown all of us that if you stick in and keep on keeping on, you can achieve. She is now training for 2 half marathons this year, one in Inverness in March and the other in Mull of Kintyre in June and we wish her good luck for both races.
Then the party began…. our resident DJ in the house Paul struck up the music and the fun followed. We had lots of dancing and lots of party games (some more competitive that others) and a great night was had by all. The only complaint being that it ended all too soon.

A fab night in Cafe Asia ! Thanks to everyone who came along, special thanks to to our DJ and the jog leaders for donating the raffle prizes; we raised £100 for the PDSA.
